Journaling Workshop at Lubbock Lake Landmark


On Saturday a group of us met out at Lubbock Lake Landmark and participated in a journaling workshop hosted by author Janisse Ray. It was a near perfect autumn day on the plains, and for about the first hour of the workshop we wandered around seeing what the prairie had to offer us. NHH alum Matt McEwen, who works at the Landmark, was along to give the group background on the site, as well as information about the local natural history. After we had familiarized ourselves with what we were seeing, we climbed up to one of the sun shelters and sat down to write. Ray's prompts guided us through the process.
